As it does every year at the beginning of January, SNCF Voyageurs has just announced the increases for its TGV Inoui and Ouigo services, i.e. +1.5% on average in 2025<\/strong>This follows an increase of +2.6% in 2024 and +7% in 2023. While the slowdown in fare growth may be attributable to better inflation figures (+1.3% in 2024 after 5.7% in 2023), the company justifies this increase by the investments it has to make, particularly in maintaining the national rail network. At the same time, the increases will be comparable for international routes, although the carrier points out that there could be differences \".\u00a0depending on the country and context<\/em>\" . However, they will be slightly higher, by +1.9%, for Intercity trains. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response to the usual criticism of the cost of train tickets, which is considered excessive by the majority of French people, SNCF is stressing that \".\u00a01 in 2 leisure tickets should cost less than \u20ac47, all classes and fares combined<\/em>\" . And that \"\u00a03 out of 4 high-speed customers will continue to benefit from a reduced price<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0\"This is thanks to the Ouigo offers, the Avantage card and the various promotional offers available throughout the year. In its analysis, SNCF Voyageurs points out that \"\u00a0compared with 2019, the increase in the average price of a high-speed ticket is less than 8%, compared with an increase of around 18% in the price index<\/em>\" .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Benefits retained for the Libert\u00e9 card<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

For business travellers, the price and benefits of the Libert\u00e9 card will be maintained, allowing them to benefit from fixed fares by destination. Its price will remain unchanged in 2025, at \u20ac349, with reductions of 45% in 1era<\/sup> class of 60% in 2nde<\/sup>. Additional benefits have also been added for Ouigo travel, such as the possibility of exchanging your ticket at the last minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bad news, however, for users of weekly and monthly Ligne \u00e0 Grande Vitesse packages, which have now been renamed Weekly Pass TGV Inoui and Monthly Pass TGV Inoui <\/strong>The price of these passes will rise by 10% from 29 January. As a small consolation, the cost of each reservation, currently \u20ac1.5, will be reduced to zero, and will now be included in the monthly price of the pass, which can be used from Monday to Sunday for the weekly version and from 1 January for the weekend version.er<\/sup> to 30\/31 of the month for the monthly pass. The second advantage is that subscribers will now be able to make two bookings a day for their journeys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Increase in Max Actif\/Max Actif+ subscriptions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The bill will also be higher, from +4% on average<\/strong>with effect from 1er<\/sup> This April for the 2,000 passengers (out of 20,000 subscribers) who travel each month with the Max Actif or Max Actif + offer. And this \"\u00a0regardless of the subscription anniversary date<\/em>\" says SNCF Voyageurs. In exchange, they will also be able to make two bookings a day. SNCF points out that these new arrangements \"\u00a0make it easier for all customers to make last-minute bookings on certain full trains<\/em>\" .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
