The strengthening of Volotea from the Alsace hub and the return of easyJet have helped to boost traffic.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With <strong>1.23 million passengers last year<\/strong>, <strong>Strasbourg airport saw an increase in traffic of 21%<\/strong>, \"\u00a0<em>one of the strongest among French airports<\/em>\" said concession director Renaud Paubelle on ICI (formerly Radio Bleue). In particular, he thanked Volotea, the airport's leading airline partner, whose traffic grew by 25% between 2023 and 2024.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>All on her own, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/volotea-strasbourg-20231123.html\/\">Volotea<\/a> accounts for two thirds of flights at Strasbourg airport<\/strong>. The regional company generates <strong>over 800,000 passengers<\/strong> a year, or two-thirds of the total number of passengers. <strong>By 2025, Volotea will offer a record 960,000 seats to 28 destinations.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 id=\"h-le-lyon-strasbourg-d-air-france-vite-remplace\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Air France's Lyon-Strasbourg service soon to be replaced<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the 2025 summer timetable, <strong>Volotea<\/strong> has already announced two new routes -<strong>Heraklion and Lyon<\/strong>. For the latter city, <strong>Air France's total withdrawal from Strasbourg-Lyon<\/strong> is an opportunity. Volotea will offer two weekly flights.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the same time, <strong>Twin Jet to begin operations on 31 March<\/strong> four daily flights in a 19-seat Beechcraft 1900D. The flights are particularly well suited to business travellers. The schedules have been planned to allow optimum connections with the flights still operated by Air France at Lyon Saint-Exup\u00e9ry airport. Twin Jet has already been connecting Strasbourg to Marseille since September 2024.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As for<strong> easyJet<\/strong>Since 2024, it has been present again at the airport with four routes to <strong>Barcelona, London-Gatwick, Naples and Nice<\/strong>. For the summer season, it will be opening a flight to <strong>Palma de Mallorca<\/strong> with two weekly frequencies. Finally, for this summer season, the company <strong>Transavia<\/strong> <strong>will resume its service to Istanbul<\/strong> with a weekly flight every Tuesday.
