While competition between the private operators of the British network will continue - a reversal of the initial idea of renationalising the entire network - Prime Minister Keir Starmer's government now wants to bring together all the private operators in the network. <strong>one-stop pricing<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>It would be managed by the new coordinating body for the railways, Great British Railways (GBR).<\/strong>. This will bring together all the private operators...<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"vapo-content\" style=\"display:none\">\r\n<p>The Labour government in the United Kingdom has embarked on a major reform of the <strong>simplification of rail services in the country<\/strong>a reform initiated by the Conservatives. This will bring together all the private operators under a single umbrella, without however reverting to a single national operator like British Rail was in its day. In fact, the Starmer government is talking about stimulating competition, in particular by lowering the barriers to entry for newcomers.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>GBR's future one-stop shop is part of the<strong>a more general strategy for a more transparent pricing offer that is easier for the general public to understand<\/strong>. It will align all fares on a given route. This is a major advance for users, who will no longer need to surf the online sites of the various private rail operators. The single ticket sales site should also equalise all promotional offers and reduced fares.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 id=\"h-le-paiement-des-billets-sans-contact-par-carte-de-credit-s-etend\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Contactless ticket payment by credit card extended<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>It will nevertheless be necessary <strong>several years before GBR's single ticket sales site could see the light of day<\/strong>according to the State Secretariat for Transport. Pending this revolution, <strong>the government continues to simplify ticket purchasing for users<\/strong>. Launched last year, it is now possible to <strong>pay for a train ticket directly with a credit card<\/strong>. All you have to do is swipe your card at the station entrances and exits, and you'll receive the best possible fare when you make your purchase.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>2025 will see the deployment of the <strong>contactless ticketing in nearly a hundred UK stations<\/strong>including for <strong>airport <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/aeroport-londres-stansted-20230706.html\/\">London Stansted<\/a><\/strong>. <strong>47 new stations in the south-east of England<\/strong> will be offering this service from 2 February. A further 49 stations will benefit from contactless ticketing later in the year. This includes Stansted airport.
