The Abu Dhabi-Dubai high-speed train project<\/strong> should help promote sustainable mobility<\/strong> in the Emirates and improve the living environment of its inhabitants. It should also help to achieve the objectives of the carbon neutrality by 2050<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The announcement was officially made at the end of January by the President of the UAE in the company of the Emirates of Abu Dhabi and Dubai at the railway company's technical offices. Etihad Rail<\/strong>. The latter is responsible for overseeing the development and operation of this historic project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The high-speed train will enable passengers to travel between Abu Dhabi and Dubai in 30 minutes<\/strong> only. Its top speed will be 350 km\/h. The route is expected to include a number of stops at strategic locations and key tourist attractions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initial estimates of the economic impact of this future high-speed train include a contribution of 37.8 billion euros<\/strong> (AED 145 billion) to the GDP of the United Arab Emirates<\/strong> over a 50-year period. A call for tenders has already been issued for the project itself and for the future network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
