But according to the American press agency <strong>Bloomberg<\/strong>a source at the Dubai-based carrier has announced a likely future service to <strong>Shenzhen and Hangzhou in China<\/strong>. These two cities will be served by the end of the first half of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of particular interest would be the service to Shenzhen, which has become <strong>the largest economic metropolis in southern China<\/strong> at the gateway to Hong Kong. Emirates is also considering launching frequencies on <strong>Chengdu<\/strong> in Sichuan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/emirates-salon-bangkok-20250203.html\/\" data-id=\"191063\">Emirates goes from strength to strength with its Bangkok lounge<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-une-expansion-chinoise-strategique\">Strategic Chinese expansion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This Chinese expansion comes at a time when <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/bataille-europe-chine-20241008.html\/\">a large number of European airlines have reduced their flights<\/a>due to the Russian overflight ban<\/strong>. This is an opportunity for Emirates to get back a slice of the cake left vacant by the Europeans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If these three destinations are indeed inaugurated in the coming months,<strong> Emirates' network to China to double by 2025<\/strong>. The airline currently only serves three cities: Beijing, Guangzhou and Shanghai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Still in Asia,<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/emirates-france-20240202.html\/\"> Emirates<\/a> considers the opening of flights to Danang, Vietnam's third largest city, and Siem Reap in Cambodia<\/strong>. The first step would be to<strong> direct flights. <\/strong>These two routes would include a stopover elsewhere in South-East Asia (e.g. Bangkok or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/singapour-art-recevoir-20230223.html\/\">Singapore<\/a>). In fact, neither Danang nor Siem Reap currently have enough potential for a non-stop flight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Elsewhere in the world, the company is considering launching routes on <strong>Brazzaville and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/vol-paris-kinshasa-rdc-air-france-20250129.html\/\">Kinshasa<\/a><\/strong>. However, the current political situation in the Democratic Republic of Congo could call these African openings into question. In Europe, the carrier would like to land at <strong>Helsinki<\/strong>one of the few capitals not yet served by Emirates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All these routes will depend heavily on the delivery of new aircraft. Emirates is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/american-airlines-europe-20240502.html\/\">faced, like the rest of the industry, with the failures of Boeing and Airbus<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And finally.., <strong>Emirates has postponed the introduction of an Airbus A350-900 on the Lyon-Dubai route until 1 June.<\/strong> Originally, the new aircraft was due to arrive in the Rhone metropolis on 30 March.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/emirates-first-embarquement-dubai-20250721.html\/\" data-id=\"204021\">Emirates First: luxury boarding in Dubai<\/a><\/p><\/aside>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>According to the Bloomberg news agency, Emirates wants to open new routes to China and Indochina.
