This is according to the trivago hotel price index (THPI) published by price comparison service Trivago, which shows that the average price of a night's stay in Paris exceeded 200 euros in September (204 euros to be exact). The increase recorded in the capital (+26%) compared to 2010 remains reasonable, however, if we look at our European neighbours: in Geneva, where the hotel sector is the most expensive (298 euros on average for a night), prices soared in September (+50%). Venice also saw a spectacular rise in rates (63%), unlike Athens (105 euros, as in 2010), which has been hit by the crisis.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Price comparison website Trivago has published its index of European hotel prices.
