Launched on Sunday 23 March, the strike<\/a> at the SNCB<\/strong> staff affiliated to the independent trade union METISP-Protect touch travellers for one week as the strike continues until midnight on Sunday 30 March.<\/strong> 900,000 passengers will be affected every day of the week, with a significant reduction in the number of trains every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nonetheless, an alternative train service plan is put in place<\/strong> that travellers can consult 24 hours in advance<\/strong> on the following link: https:\/\/www.belgiantrain.be\/fr\/travel-info\/train-network-travel-info\/strike\/#overview<\/a>. For example, on Wednesday 26 March, the SNCB <\/strong>indicates that 30% of IC trains will not be running - that is 7 trains out of 10. On regional lines, SNCB reports two trains out of three. One strike leads to another. On 31 March, the national trade union action is calling on all airport security and handling staff to <\/strong>to stop work. With major disruptions expected and an inability to specify which routes will be affected, thehe airports of Brussels Airport (Zaventem) and Brussels South-Charleroi are cancelling all flights for the day.<\/strong>.
