{"id":196579,"date":"2025-04-03T12:33:20","date_gmt":"2025-04-03T10:33:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/?p=196579"},"modified":"2026-01-28T12:51:51","modified_gmt":"2026-01-28T11:51:51","slug":"volotea-france-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/volotea-france-2025","title":{"rendered":"Volotea to offer more domestic flights in France this summer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The 2025 summer season of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/volotea-bordeaux-lyon-20241204.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Volotea<\/a> in France is characterised by a high number of new intra-Hexagon routes<\/strong>. Even though some regional routes are disappearing, such as the flights between Lyon and Caen or between Strasbourg and Biarritz and Montpellier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the other hand, the carrier is returning after a four-year absence to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/aeroport-beauvais-trafic-20230412.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Beauvais<\/strong> <\/a>with two weekly flights to <strong>Bastia<\/strong>. Volotea will touch down on the tarmac of the low-cost airport from 6 July. <strong>Volotea is also launching four weekly services from 30 May between Bordeaux and Marseille<\/strong>. From 4 April, there will also be two weekly flights to and from <strong>Lyon to Strasbourg<\/strong> route, while on 1 September the company will launch the <strong>Rennes-Toulouse<\/strong>. Again, two flights a week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/volotea-inaugure-vol-rennes-toulouse-20250909.html\/\" data-id=\"207191\">Volotea inaugurates the Rennes-Toulouse flight<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the biggest increase on the national network will occur at <strong>Rodez<\/strong>the latest Volotea base in France. Since last September, the Aveyron prefecture has benefited from two daily flights to Paris-Orly. From 12 April, there will also be two weekly flights, one to Paris-Orly.<strong> Ajaccio, <\/strong>the other towards <strong>Bastia.<\/strong> A weekly frequency on <strong>Figari<\/strong> will complete this offer from 13 April. Finally, on 2 May, <strong>Volotea <\/strong>will inaugurate two weekly flights to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/aeroport-lille-20220721.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lille<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While Volotea is strengthening its domestic network, it is abandoning a large number of routes to major European business cities, which is bad news for business travellers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/limoges-new-volotea-flight\/\" data-id=\"216135\">Limoges, Volotea's new stronghold<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>The high cost of air taxes has led to the suspension of all routes to the United States.<strong>Germany<\/strong>a decision that affects <strong>Bordeaux, Lyon, Strasbourg and Toulouse<\/strong>. Compared to summer 2024, Bordeaux will also lose its connections to Athens and Verona, Lille to Rome and Venice, Lyon and Paris-Orly to Bilbao, Marseille to Florence, Nantes to Vienna, Strasbourg to London-Gatwick and Toulouse to Athens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the other hand, the airline is focusing more on leisure markets, where demand is strongest, with more flights to the Mediterranean basin. On departure from <strong>Bordeaux<\/strong>the company will launch flights on&nbsp;<strong>Alghero, Alicante, Bari, Mahon and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/mice-malte-incentives-20230306.html\/\">Malta<\/a>; <\/strong>since <strong>Brest and Strasbourg to Heraklion; <\/strong>from <strong>Lille to Comiso and Patrai; <\/strong>from <strong>Lyon and Marseille to Salerno; <\/strong>from <strong>Paris-Orly to Alghero.&nbsp; <\/strong>Also worth noting is the launch of a line of<strong> Rodez to Porto.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/bordeaux-easyjet-route-est-20250404.html\/\" data-id=\"196615\">Bordeaux: easyJet heads east<\/a><\/p><\/aside>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Despite the increase in the solidarity tax, low-cost carrier Volotea is gaining ground
