{"id":198105,"date":"2025-04-22T12:27:47","date_gmt":"2025-04-22T10:27:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/?p=198105"},"modified":"2025-04-22T12:30:12","modified_gmt":"2025-04-22T10:30:12","slug":"trenitalia-sale-amadeus-agencies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/trenitalia-sale-amadeus-agencies","title":{"rendered":"Trenitalia makes it easier to sell tickets in agencies with Amadeus"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Trenitalia has just signed <strong>a distribution agreement with Amadeus<\/strong> which will enable the Italian rail company to facilitate the sale of its train tickets to business and leisure travellers. \"\u00a0<em>This agreement with Amadeus marks a step forward in our distribution strategy. We are now ready to be marketed by the vast majority of travel agencies and operators. This guarantees total accessibility to all our Frecciarossa high-speed train tickets, making it easier for their customers to plan and book rail journeys.<\/em>\" said Marco Caposciutti, Chairman of Trenitalia France, in a joint press release.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Before they can start selling via Amadeus' technological solutions (Amadeus Travel Platform and Amadeus Web Services), agencies will have to obtain accreditation from Trenitalia France. They will then have to <strong>real-time access to the Italian company's inventory in France <\/strong>. These include the Paris-Lyon, Paris-Milan and Paris-Marseille routes, which will start operating on 15 June. In the meantime <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/trenitalia-paris-londres-2029-20250408.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Paris-London<\/a> by 2029 and other rail lines in the near future.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 id=\"h-amadeus-donne-acces-a-la-quasi-totalite-des-agences-francaises\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Amadeus gives access to almost all French agencies<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>\"\u00a0<em>This agreement with Amadeus is<strong> very important for Trenitalia France<\/strong>. It represents both a means of making our offer accessible to large and numerous travel agencies with whom we have not been able to work until now, some of whom have a significant proportion of business sales. These business customers travel more frequently than the average, and are more inclined to take advantage of our Business and Executive classes, as well as our Sala Meeting.<\/em>\" adds Fabrice Toledano, Sales and Marketing Director of Trenitalia France.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\">\r\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/trenitalia-pro-voyageurs-affaires-20240326.html\/\" data-id=\"171023\">Read also: Trenitalia launches a single fare and a Pro portal to attract businesses<\/a><\/p>\r\n<\/aside>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Since the end of March, the carrier has been offering companies the opportunity to create a free account on its Trenitalia.com website. <strong>Trenitalia Pro <\/strong>to facilitate the management of their business travel, with two areas, one dedicated to the administrator, the other to employees. This high-contribution clientele is vital for Trenitalia France's accounts, which have remained in the red since its arrival on the French rail market at the end of 2021.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The agreement with Amadeus is all the more important for Trenitalia because this booking platform is the main <strong>used by France's 4,500 business and\/or leisure travel agencies<\/strong> and that the company is not distributed via the SNCF Connect website and other SNCF sales tools. Trenitalia France has tried to get round this boycott by signing up with the Omio, Kombo and Trainline platforms, as the former Captain Train already has partnerships with business agencies and direct companies. \"\u00a0<em>These partners complement and do not compete with the Amadeus network. They represent a significant proportion of our sales and are a real support to our growth. We are seeing results grow year on year<\/em>\" adds Fabrice Toledano. And to emphasise that \"\u00a0<em>Trenitalia's offer in France has met with growing success since its launch, and is enjoying <strong>a phase of strong growth in 2025<\/strong><\/em>\" .<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 id=\"h-une-distribution-hexagonale-jusqu-ici-d-abord-en-direct\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Until now, distribution in France has been direct<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Amadeus Selling Platform Connect extends a distribution channel that until now has mainly been provided directly. <strong>via the Trenitalia website<\/strong>A network of self-service kiosks has also been deployed at several stations served by the network, including Paris-Lyon, Lyon Part-Dieu, Lyon-Perrache, Chamb\u00e9ry, Saint-Jean de Maurienne and, soon, Avignon TGV, Aix-en-Provence TGV and Marseille Saint-Charles.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The carrier also benefits from the strength of its Italian site and its distribution partnerships on the other side of the Alps, which ensure that most of the trains on the Paris-Milan line, which resumed service on 1 January, are filled.<sup>er<\/sup> last April.
