It would be hard to find a more symbolic location in the heart of Frankfurt's financial district: the former headquarters of Deutsche Bank. Kimpton, the luxury and lifestyle brand of the IHG group, is part of the transformation of the office tower which, until the middle of the last decade, housed the staff of Germany's leading bank. The first skyscraper in Mainhattan when it was inaugurated in 1971, the building was demolished to make way for a new complex<\/strong> logically named Four Frankfurt in reference to its four brand new towers, the highest of which stands at 233 metres.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n

On the edge of the centre of Frankfurt, this complex designed by a pupil of Zaha Hadid, the Dutch architect Ben van Berkel, aims to establish itself as a new town centre<\/strong>. Restaurants and boutiques, offices for major companies such as Allianz and Sanofi, a rooftop accessible to all, flats and top-of-the-range hospitality: Four Frankfurt combines business life with relaxation.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

It is in this new setting that Germany's first Kimpton hotel has just opened, with another long-stay establishment under the Hyatt House brand soon to follow. Featuring 155 rooms and suites<\/strong>The Kimpton Main Frankfurt showcases its lifestyle spirit through a minimalist d\u00e9cor inspired by the Bauhaus and, as befits a number of dining venues. These include a lounge where you can sample whiskies and cocktails, a brasserie featuring classic EU dishes - wiener schnitzel, fried mussels and onion soup - and, at the very top of the hotel, with a panoramic view of the Frankfurt skyline, a casual yet sophisticated bar-restaurant serving Mediterranean dishes for sharing.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The brand, founded in 1981 by entrepreneur and frequent traveller Bill Kimpton and acquired by IHG in 201X, is thus continuing its expansion in Europe, adding to the Kimpton St. Honor\u00e9 Paris and Kimpton Fitzroy London, while awaiting new openings of more leisure hotels in Marbella and the Algarve. It will also be expanding in the Middle East, with the recent announcement of a hotel in Dubai, <\/strong>a 280-room hotel due to open in the first quarter of 2026 on the banks of the Business Bay Canal.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
