While Air France is seeing the threat of a strike looming at the end of October, Germany could be hit much sooner by a large-scale strike. Air traffic controllers, fed up with the progress of negotiations with the airport operator (DFS), could announce the launch of widespread strike action as early as the end of this week. At the same time, tension is also mounting among ground staff: a dozen airports are also threatened by industrial action.
