Blue Sky, the new joint programme between JetBlue and United Airlines<\/strong> should bring numerous benefits to the customers of both companies. They hope that the programme will start this autumn<\/strong>. They detail future benefits which, however, will need to be approved by the relevant authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

United MileagePlus customers will be able to earn and use miles on most JetBlue flights. The airline offers 90 daily flights<\/a> between the North East and the Caribbean this summer - with direct non-stop scheduled flights to popular islands such as Aruba, Barbados and Jamaica. JetBlue TrueBlue members, meanwhile, can collect and spend their points on flights across the entire United Airlines<\/a>including on the carrier's international routes. In particular to Europe and Asia Pacific.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through Blue Sky, each airline will offer flights on each other's website and app to facilitate booking on their respective networks<\/strong>. Blue Sky includes interline agreement but not code sharing<\/strong>. This means that each airline will continue to publish and market flights independently under its own brand and flight numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The benefits of each airline's frequent flyer programme will be mutually recognised.<\/strong> These include priority boarding, free access to seats with extra legroom, and same-day standby\/changeover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
