Iberia has unveiled its new strategic plan, Flight Plan 2030<\/strong>which lays the foundations for the company's future growth. The plan targets annual profitability of between 13.5 % and 15 %<\/strong>This will enable us to invest 6 billion euros<\/strong> over the period as a whole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the company's CEO, Marco Sansavini,\u00a0<\/strong>\" Thanks to the profound transformation of Iberia over the last decade, we are now achieving results that allow us to look to the future with confidence and to invest 6 billion euros. We want to go from 45 long-haul aircraft currently at 70<\/strong>to position Madrid-Barajas as a major European hub and strengthen Spain's international connectivity<\/em>. \"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fleet growth<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The \"Flight Plan 2030\" will give Iberia a fleet of 70 aircraft, mainly with the integration ofThe new generation of <\/strong>Airbus A350, A321XLR<\/strong> and potentiallyA330neo<\/strong>from the order recently announced by the IAG Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, Iberia will be launching the <\/strong>complete renewal of its short- and medium-haul fleet<\/strong>. Virtually all previous generation aircraft will be replaced by A320 and A321neo<\/strong>more efficient and less polluting, confirming the company's commitment to achieving zero net emissions by 2050<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New destinations: Toronto, Philadelphia and Monterrey<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Fleet expansion under Flight Plan 2030 will enable Spanish carrier to expand its network. The company aims to increase the density its long-haul routes<\/a>. It has announced the forthcoming launch of flights to<\/strong> Toronto<\/strong> (Canada), Philadelphia<\/strong> (United States) and Monterrey<\/strong> (Mexico). These routes will follow the recent opening of flights to Recife and Fortaleza<\/strong> (Brazil) andOrlando<\/strong> (United States).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enhanced customer experience and new Premium lounge in Terminal 4<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Improving the customer experience is also one of the priorities of the Flight Plan 2030. Iberia plans to major investments in artificial intelligence, digitalisation and personalisation<\/strong> services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All long-haul cabins will be renovated to offer greater comfort, connectivity and improved design. On single-aisle aircraft, the capacity of cabin baggage compartments will be increased.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the ground, the airline will be strengthening its top-of-the-range services, in particular with the opening of a new Premium lounge in Terminal 4 at Madrid-Barajas airport<\/strong>offering more space and greater comfort for premium passengers.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
