The cause: a <strong>fire <\/strong>at Les Pennes-Mirabeau (13) which broke out in the morning, coupled with gusty winds. Take-offs and landings are currently suspended. L'<strong>Marseille airport<\/strong> stated on its website: \"\u00a0<em>Due to a fire in Les Pennes Mirabeau, take-offs and landings are suspended until further notice.<\/em>\u00a0\". Travellers are advised to contact their airline for further information. An alert message has been sent to the public by text message, and residents of the 16th arrondissement of Marseille must remain indoors until further notice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the evening*, Marseille airport resumed operations. Air traffic was restored, and after a check-up at 9:30 am on Wednesday, it was decided to resume unrestricted operations immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"380\" src=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/flightradar.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-203429\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/flightradar.jpg 650w, https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/flightradar-300x175-derived.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Source : Flightradar<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-quote\"><blockquote><p>Northbound and westbound trains from and to Marseille will be disrupted due to a fire in the vicinity of the Estaque tracks.<\/p><cite>SNCF<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>Le <strong>rail traffic<\/strong> was also affected by the fire. \"\u00a0<strong>Trains to and from Marseille heading north and west will be disrupted.<\/strong>due to a fire in the vicinity of the Estaque tracks\", says the SNCF. However, it points out that Marseille St Charles station is not closed, and that regional train services to Nice-Vintimille and Aix-Ville will continue. However, SNCF Voyageurs' INOUI TGVs departing from Paris and bound for Marseille, Toulon and Nice will be cancelled. SNCF Voyageurs' INOUI TGVs departing from Paris and bound for Lyon, N\u00eemes, Montpellier and Perpignan are running.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As at Marignane, the return to normal operations remains uncertain for the railways: \"\u00a0<strong>The time at which traffic will resume is currently undetermined,<\/strong> SNCF Voyageurs invites passengers to postpone their journey and not to go to the station\".
