Launched in 2022 by <strong>American Express GBT<\/strong> and Shell Aviation, in partnership with Accenture, this \"book and claim\" solution enabled companies and airlines to access sustainable aviation fuel. Without being constrained by its physical availability at specific locations, but on one condition: that it comes from Shell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/sustainable-fuel-utopia-iata\/\" data-id=\"224683\">Producing sustainable fuel at scale, a near utopia for IATA<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>This barrier has been lifted as Avelia evolves <strong>towards a multi-supplier model<\/strong>s, including Shell of course. Powered by a blockchain, with dashboards and calculation tools to track the reduction in emissions linked to FAS, this solution has already been used in a number of countries.<strong> <\/strong>used by more than 57 companies and airlines, contributing to the injection of more than 33 million gallons at 17 SAF injection points around the world. That's more than 300,000 tonnes of CO<sup>2<\/sup>e avoided, the equivalent of more than 500,000 passengers on London-New York flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From now on, companies will be able to go further in their investments to<strong> reduce the environmental footprint of their business travel<\/strong> accessing SAF from multiple suppliers. For companies, Avelia plans to introduce a BYOS (Bring Your Own SAF) model, allowing them to manage more of their SAF portfolio, particularly that purchased outside Shell's supply network. \" <em>This marks a significant milestone not only for Avelia, but also for the aviation sector.<\/em> \"said Raman Ojha, President of Shell Aviation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside
