The first half of the year saw the London airport lay more than solid foundations, and even break a record with <strong>39.9 million passengers<\/strong> between January and the end of June. To achieve this, the London hub was able to rely particularly on the strong demand to the<strong>Asia-Pacific<\/strong> and the <strong>Middle East<\/strong>but also on the transatlantic axis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-quote\"><blockquote><p>We are realising our vision of an extraordinary airport, fit for the future. We are welcoming record numbers of passengers and improving the services that matter most<\/p><cite>Thomas Woldbye, CEO of London Heathrow<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>These good results can only encourage Heathrow airport's management to continue with their plans. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/heathrow-10-milliards-livres-20250715.html\/\">modernisation projects<\/a> <\/strong>unveiled in recent months. Heathrow's CEO, <strong>Thomas Woldbye<\/strong>says: \" <em>We are realising our vision of an extraordinary airport, fit for the future. We're welcoming record numbers of passengers and improving the services that matter most. Our <strong>new five-year investment plan<\/strong> will mean faster, more reliable journeys, more punctual flights and more room to grow, while offering better value to our customers. We will shortly be submitting our long-term expansion plans to the Government, offering the UK the opportunity to remain competitive, boost jobs and drive growth nationally. It can also be explained by the operational performance of London Heathrow, which prides itself on being the most punctual hub on the Old Continent. What's more, despite the crowds seen since the start of the year, queues have clearly been managed successfully. Management claims that 98 % passengers waited less than five minutes at security checks.
