That's +2.8 % more passengers than the previous year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nonetheless, <strong>passenger traffic is still 15.8% lower than in the same period of 2019<\/strong>. Total commercial aircraft movements, at 0.89 million, were 19.4% lower than in 2019. These two figures still place Germany at the bottom of the European rankings in terms of recovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ADV notes that at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/trafic-aerien-allemagne-2024-20250212.html\/\">the absence of overhead lines<\/a> Now, at the height of the tourist season, there is also a high level of <strong>hotel prices<\/strong> significantly higher. As a result, demand is depressed during the summer months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-schengen-et-l-intercontinental-en-forme\">Schengen and intercontinental in good shape<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>On domestic routes<\/strong>Passenger numbers continue to fall due to the price factor and the disappearance of many domestic flights. With <strong>11.3 million passengers<\/strong> between January and June, this figure remains<strong> lower than 50%<\/strong> to its 2019 results. In fact, between the first half of 2024 and 2025, the number of passengers on domestic routes fell again by -1.2%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>European routes<\/strong> on the other hand, continue to grow. With <strong>67.9 million passengers<\/strong> between January and June 2025, <strong>they rose by +3.2%<\/strong> compared with 2024. However, they are still -7.2% lower than in January-June 2019. However, traffic to the<strong>Schengen area<\/strong> remains dynamic. With 49.1 million passengers, it posted growth of <strong>+5,1 %<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From his side, <strong>intercontinental traffic saw the strongest growth, <\/strong>as close as possible to its pre-Covid level. With <strong>19.9 million passengers, intercontinental up +3.8 1Q3<\/strong> compared with last year. It is now just 2.7% behind its 2019 level...<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-les-grands-aeroports-stagnent-hormis-munich-et-stuttgart\">Major airports stagnate, apart from Munich and Stuttgart<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Airports,<strong> the strongest growth was recorded at leisure and low-cost airports<\/strong>. For example <strong>Karsruhe\/Baden-Baden<\/strong> -55km from Strasbourg- grew by 30% to more than one million passengers in the first half of the year. <strong>Frankfurt-Hahn<\/strong> rose by 22% and <strong>Nuremberg<\/strong> of 10.1%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the other hand, progress was mixed for the major airports. <strong>Frankfurt, the Lufthansa Group's hub, grew by just +1.4 1TP3Q<\/strong>. A total of more than 29 million passengers.<strong> D\u00fcsseldorf<\/strong> was up 2.8%, <strong>Berlin<\/strong> of 2%,<strong> Cologne<\/strong> of 0.4% while <strong>Hamburg<\/strong> fell by 0.6%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Only <strong>Munich and Stuttgart are exceptions<\/strong>. <strong>At Lufthansa's second hub,<\/strong> <strong>Traffic up 3.6%<\/strong> approaching 20 million passengers. In Stuttgart, traffic was up by 4.3%.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>German airports welcomed almost 100 million passengers in the 1st half of the year (+2.81TP3Q).
