Lufthansa announced on Friday that it had reached an agreement in principle with the parent company of Iberia and British Airways to buy its ailing subsidiary, two years after its acquisition by the German group. British Airways, which had recently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/british-airways-achete-de-nouveaux-creneaux-a-heathrow-20110923.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-drupal=\"node\/6013\" data-wp=\"19477\">purchased slots from BMI<\/a> (British Midland) at Heathrow airport, would be able to tackle the saturation problems at the London airport with this additional space.
