Flight AF1602 operated by the regional subsidiary HOP! linked Paris-Charles de Gaulle to Hamburg with new standards of comfort. On board, Business and Economy customers enjoyed new seats made in France, lighter and more comfortable, a free high-speed WiFi connection and an elegant, bright cabin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By summer 2026, all Air France Embraer 190s will be refitted<\/strong>. The airline is thus continuing to move upmarket and standardise its range of products and services on its short and medium-haul network.<\/p>\n\n\n

New, more comfortable and innovative seats<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Embraer 190 fromAir France<\/a> now has 110 new seats in a 2-2 configuration<\/strong>. Each seat is upholstered in leather and fitted with ergonomic foams for added comfort and durability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tilts up to three inches, the seat width is 46 cm<\/strong>There's a table, optimised storage space, comfortable flip-up armrests and a coat hanger. The headrest is height and side adjustable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At eye level, the passenger has a retractable holder for a smartphone or tablet. USB A and C ports for recharging personal devices<\/strong>including a laptop. A double cup holder is also integrated for added practicality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On board, Business customers are seated in the front rows of the aircraft. For added comfort and privacy, a mobile curtain isolates this cabin. From October 2025, every Business customer will have an empty seat next to them.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

During their journey, all customers have very high-speed wifi access<\/strong>. This new service is completely free of charge when connected to a Flying Blue account. Air France is gradually equipping all its aircraft with this cutting-edge technology, including those in its regional fleet.<\/p>\n\n\n

Like Air France's Airbus A220, thehe cabin of the Embraer 190 features the company's corporate colours<\/strong> A monochrome of blue, a strong presence of white for light and contrast, and touches of red to embody the company's excellence and expertise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each seat has symmetrical stitching and a martingale embroidered in grey thread. The headrest is embroidered with the accent, the Air France brand symbol, also positioned at the back of the cabin, giving perspective to the whole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lighter armchairs, designed and manufactured in France<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To design these seats, produced in Angers (Maine-et-Loire), Air France teamed up with French manufacturer Expliseat, working with Andrea Mocellin, a designer well-versed in top-of-the-range codes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The seat structure, made from carbon fibre, titanium and aluminium, is both ultra-light and particularly robust. The majority of the seat's components are recyclable, promoting a circular economy in the aeronautical industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each new seat is 30% lighter than the previous model<\/strong>This helps to limit the overall weight of the aircraft, thereby reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. This initiative is part of the company's strategy to reduce carbon emissions.<\/strong>These include fleet renewal, increased use of sustainable aviation fuels, operational measures such as eco-piloting and the development of intermodality.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
