{"id":208109,"date":"2025-09-18T15:23:16","date_gmt":"2025-09-18T13:23:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/?p=208109"},"modified":"2025-09-26T11:25:27","modified_gmt":"2025-09-26T09:25:27","slug":"delta-brussels-new-york","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/delta-brussels-new-york","title":{"rendered":"Delta bows out of the Brussels-New York route"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It's a big surprise for business travellers on the Brussels-New York JFK route. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/delta-air-lines-aeromexico-joint-venture-stop\/\">Delta Air Lines<\/a><\/strong> will stop operating this route after 34 years of loyal service. On 5 January next, the American carrier will mark the suspension of this route. The route has been operated this summer with four weekly flights by Boeing 767.<\/p>\n<p>The route will continue to be operated by Brussels Airlines, which offers a daily flight to JFK using an Airbus A330. United Airlines is nevertheless the main airline on the Brussels-New York route. The airline offers two daily flights to Newark with Boeing 757 and 787 aircraft.<\/p>\n<p>Delta Air Lines, on the other hand, will be continuing its year-round service between Brussels and Atlanta. The carrier currently offers this route during the summer season. It will be reactivated on 8 March with four weekly flights. It will then become a daily service during the summer. The Atlanta route, which offers connections to 200 American destinations, has a greater capacity to attract business travellers and remains without competition at the Belgian airport.<\/p>\n<p>Delta has also announced that it will be landing in Olbia in Sardinia and Malta for the summer season. The two destinations were selected by members of the SkyMiles frequent flyer programme and Delta employees. The carrier will connect New York to Olbia four times a week from 20 May. And to Malta from 7 June 2026, with three flights a week.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A route operated by Delta Air Lines since 1991, Brussels-New York JFK will disappear from the airline's timetable next January.
