It's Paris Fashion Week<\/strong> and Eurostar<\/strong> didn't miss the chance to present its new uniforms at Paris-Nord station on Tuesday. At 1pm on Tuesday, around twenty members of its on-board staff paraded in one of its trains positioned along track 2 to present the new uniforms. outfits to be worn from 1er<\/sup> October by its 2,600 employees <\/strong>in contact with its customers on its cross-Channel and continental routes. A cloakroom for personal touches<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The new navy blue uniform - a colour that symbolises calm, authority and professionalism in particular - is the work of Emmanuelle Plescoff, a French fashion designer who has worked with Christian Lacroix and who was involved in this project for the first time with 80 of the company's employees. \"This The collection reflects the history of Eurostar and who we are today. The brief was to be chic, elegant and iconic.<\/em>says Gwendoline Cazenave, Eurostar's CEO. But it's not just about style. This collection celebrates the diversity of our team and the customers who travel with us every day. <\/em>\". It comprises 54 interchangeable parts<\/strong> (shirts, dresses, trousers, jackets, waistcoats, ties, kilts, etc.) designed to suit all genders, sizes, functions and styles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sustainability at the heart of this new look<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The environmental issue has not been forgotten in this change. Manufactured in the Euro-Mediterranean zone, this collection has been produced in compliance with ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) standards and related certifications. \" The fabrics have been carefully selected for their durability and ecological credentials, with the emphasis on recycled polyester and organic cotton. <\/em>\"says Emmanuelle Plescoff. The old uniforms will be recycled via Cepovett in France and Belgium, and Race Recycling in the UK. This new collection, which passengers will be able to discover from Wednesday, completes Eurostar's merger policy, following on from the new logo, the harmonisation of loyalty programmes and travel classes, the overhaul of the culinary offer, and the makeover of the continental lounges at Paris Nord and Brussels stations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
