It highlights the 50 most interconnected airports worldwide, the 25 most connected airports among low-cost airlines, the 25 main US domestic hubs, as well as the 10 most connected airports by major region: North America, Latin America, Asia-Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa. The analyses are based on <strong data-start=\"2870\" data-end=\"2908\">100 largest airports in the world<\/strong> based on total annual capacity (from 1 September 2024 to 31 August 2025).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Produced for the tenth consecutive year, this ranking assesses the connectivity of the major international hubs, both globally and regionally, while integrating the connections of domestic networks.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.oag.com\/megahubs-airports-2025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">&nbsp;<strong data-start=\"945\" data-end=\"966\">OAG Megahubs 2025<\/strong> <\/a>offers a comprehensive overview of the evolution of air connectivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/palmares-2025-oag-frequented-lines\/\" data-id=\"213651\">Top 2025 list: the busiest lines according to OAG<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-l-europe-reste-dominee-par-londres-heathrow\">Europe still dominated by London Heathrow<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Unsurprisingly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/london-heathrow-pre-covid-2024-figures\/\"><strong data-start=\"286\" data-end=\"312\">London Heathrow (LHR)<\/strong><\/a> remains the most connected airport in the world and in Europe for the third year running. The London hub offers more than <strong data-start=\"427\" data-end=\"485\">59,000 possible connections to 226 destinations<\/strong>. Heathrow is the only airport to have maintained the same position in the world's Top 10 as last year, while all the other major hubs have seen their rankings change, either upwards or downwards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the top 10, Europe remains a heavyweight with 5 airports. The surprise comes from Istanbul airport. The airport has moved up from 8\u1d49 to 2\u1d49 place thanks to an increase in the number of flights. <strong data-start=\"979\" data-end=\"987\">25 %<\/strong> the number of possible connections.<strong> Frankfurt, along with Kuala Lumpur, is the 4th largest mega-hub in the world. The airport <\/strong>moved up six places to <strong data-start=\"1290\" data-end=\"1298\">21 %<\/strong> its connections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong data-start=\"1318\" data-end=\"1340\">Tokyo-Haneda (HND)<\/strong> falls from 3\u1d49 to 9\u1d49 position, with a drop of <strong data-start=\"1394\" data-end=\"1402\">10 %<\/strong> connections. In the United States, <strong data-start=\"1435\" data-end=\"1471\">Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson<\/strong>the world's largest airport by capacity, has returned to the Top 10 at number 8\u1d49 thanks to eight new destinations and an increase of <strong data-start=\"1604\" data-end=\"1612\">14 %<\/strong> connections, while <strong data-start=\"1640\" data-end=\"1664\">Chicago O'Hare (ORD)<\/strong> gains two places to move up to 7\u1d49 place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Paris CDG<\/strong> climbed to tenth place. Nonetheless, <strong>the French platform has lost four places in a decade<\/strong>. This fall is due to the transfer of many air routes to rail, in addition to the closure of domestic routes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-dix-ans-d-evolution-des-mega-hubs\"><strong>Ten years of evolution for mega-hubs<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"942\" height=\"509\" src=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/evolution-des-mega-hubs-2015-2025.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-209139\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/evolution-des-mega-hubs-2015-2025.jpg 942w, https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/evolution-des-mega-hubs-2015-2025-300x162-derived.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/evolution-des-mega-hubs-2015-2025-768x415-derived.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/evolution-des-mega-hubs-2015-2025-18x10-derived.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 942px) 100vw, 942px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-reste-du-monde-et-low-cost\">Rest of the world and low-cost<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Elsewhere in the world, <strong data-start=\"5140\" data-end=\"5164\">Chicago O'Hare (ORD)<\/strong> is back in first place ahead of <strong data-start=\"5198\" data-end=\"5215\">Atlanta<\/strong>&nbsp;and <strong data-start=\"5219\" data-end=\"5246\">Dallas\/Fort Worth on US domestic routes<\/strong>. Whereas <strong data-start=\"5248\" data-end=\"5264\">Denver <\/strong>climbs to 4\u1d49 position, ahead of <strong data-start=\"5300\" data-end=\"5319\">Charlotte<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The<strong> major Asian hubs<\/strong> confirm their strategic role in global connectivity. <strong>Kuala Lumpur establishes itself as the world's leading low-cost airport<\/strong>supported by AirAsia. <strong>Seoul Incheon<\/strong> is up sharply, thanks to a 58 % increase in connections in ten years. <strong>Tokyo Haneda (HND)<\/strong> and <strong>Bangkok (BKK)<\/strong> also remain major regional hubs, despite a slight decline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Asia-Pacific has also confirmed its supremacy in low-cost connectivity with <strong data-start=\"4643\" data-end=\"4685\">16 of the 25 most connected airports are served by low-cost airlines.&nbsp;<\/strong><br data-start=\"4686\" data-end=\"4689\"><strong data-start=\"4689\" data-end=\"4711\">In addition to Kuala Lumpur<\/strong><strong> and <\/strong><strong data-start=\"4745\" data-end=\"4768\">Seoul-Incheon (ICN)<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"4770\" data-end=\"4787\">Manila, <\/strong><strong data-start=\"4791\" data-end=\"4810\">Hong Kong; <\/strong><strong data-start=\"4937\" data-end=\"4952\">Dubai (DXB) and<\/strong> <strong data-start=\"4983\" data-end=\"4999\">Sydney <\/strong>follow. Europe's leading low-cost airport ranks eighth, in this case <strong>Istanbul Sabiha G\u00f6k\u00e7en International<\/strong>.
