How is the R\u00e9union-Metropolitan France market faring this year?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Hugues Marchessaux - <\/strong>R\u00e9union is still a very attractive destination, as can be seen from the traffic figures. The market is no more difficult than before, but it has become more competitive. There are four competing airlines, making it one of the most competitive routes in the world. I have to say that all these carriers - including Air Austral<\/a> - performed well this year. Probably because the summer of 2024 was marked by a slight downturn due to the Olympic Games in Paris<\/a>. Many regular travellers preferred to avoid the capital. Nevertheless, traffic is back on the rise. We even recorded record load factors, around 86-87 % at certain periods. The R\u00e9union-Paris route remains the third busiest long-haul route from Paris, just after New York and Montreal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Against a backdrop of global uncertainty, would you say that R\u00e9union remains a safe haven?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Hugues Marchessaux -<\/strong> Absolutely. It's a stable, attractive and safe destination. Even if the international economy remains fragile, R\u00e9union continues to attract and retain visitors. That's what we're seeing with our partners: despite the prevailing gloom, the island remains a safe tourist destination and a major business market for France. And our sales dynamic is very positive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
