With 350 new locations announced for the coming year, the Accor group will continue to grow around the world, thanks in part to its luxury brands. While 2026 will be marked by the inauguration in June of the world's largest sailing yacht, the Orient Express Corinthian, for its first exclusive cruise in the Mediterranean, the future of the luxury brand is being written first and foremost on land. After Rome<\/a> in 2025, Venice will see the birth in April of its second hotel, the Orient Express Venezia at Palazzo Don\u00e0 Giovannelli, the result of eight years of renovation of a 15th-century palace.e<\/sup> century into a hotel with 47 rooms and suites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While Saudi Arabia is attracting the attention of all the groups, Accor will be opening several luxury hotels there this year. In addition to a beautiful resort on the shores of the Red Sea, next door to a new Fairmont, the Raffles brand will be setting up in Jeddah early next year with a 142-room and 40-suite hotel geared towards meetings and events with generous function spaces, including a ballroom of almost 1,300 m\u00b2. In the same vein, the Sofitel Riyadh Hotel & Convention Centre, due to open early this year in the heart of the Saudi capital, has even bigger plans. With 388 rooms, it will be the largest convention centre in Riyadh - and in the Sofitel network - and will be able to accommodate up to 3,000 people. The SO\/ brand in Jeddah will also be part of Accor's expansion in the country, as will the Novotel brand, with openings in Medina, Dhahran and Mecca, for one of the largest mid-range hotels in the holy city, with more than 2,000 keys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For its part, the Fairmont luxury brand will be travelling the world with new hotels planned in Hanoi at the start of the year, with a 241-room urban resort, as well as in Bangkok, in the Sukhumvit district, in Agra in India, and in Dalian in China, in a historic building converted into a 70-room hotel with numerous meeting rooms and a reception hall. Next June, Fairmont will also be taking over the former headquarters of the Bank of New Orleans in the United States, in the central district of New Orleans and close to the Vieux Carr\u00e9, to turn it into a 250-room and suite hotel crowned by a rooftop bar with swimming pool. And all this in addition to the addition of a golf resort in England, the Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emblems, Accor's new luxury flagship<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Whereas the Emblems Collection<\/a>one of the French group's latest luxury brands, made its UK debut this year with the Lucknam Park Hotel & Spa, and will continue to expand in Canada, in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, with the Rimrock Banff, and in Puglia, Italy, with the Masseria Furnirussi. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As far as the Accor Group's collection brands are concerned, one project also concerns France, and the MGallery brand, with Le Bel H\u00f4tel Ol\u00e9ron - MGallery Collection. Located on the island of the same name, in the heart of a Natura 2000 site, between the national forest of Saint-Trojan and Gatseau beach, the hotel will offer 102 rooms and suites, with a culinary offer concocted by chef Pierre Gagnaire. In the mid-range segment, the Handwritten Collection will also be offering a 25-room boutique hotel in Albania, the Adorn Tirana, and a 360-room business hotel in Shanghai, close to the city's National Exhibition and Convention Centre and Hongqiao International Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another spearhead of the Accor group's development, through its subsidiary Ennismore, the lifestyle hotel sector will, as always, offer a number of new developments. Mama Shelter will be opening a 150-room hotel in the heart of Como at the beginning of the year, with a focus on leisure activities, four bars and restaurants and a rooftop swimming pool. The brand will also be taking its first steps on the African continent, to the south, with the Mama Shelter Cape Town Hotel and Residences, with 127 rooms, a swimming pool and a rooftop terrace overlooking Table Mountain, as well as a co-working space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the other side of the Atlantic, as the Delano brand prepares to return to its original, completely renovated hotel in Miami Beach, another of the Group's lifestyle brands, Hyde, will be continuing its global expansion with the opening in early 2026 of the Hyde Mexico City Reforma, located on the Mexican capital's main cultural and economic thoroughfare, the Paseo de la Reforma. The programme includes 106 rooms, a Japanese restaurant and a cocktail bar, as well as meeting spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next year at Marienbad for M\u00f6venpick<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

So much for the expected openings in the luxury and lifestyle segments. But all these fine projects should not obscure the fact that the French group's momentum is also being driven by its Premium, Midscale and Economy divisions. New Pullman hotels are expected in Hamilton, New Zealand, in Montenegro with a 144-room resort and 17 flats in Kolasin, and also in Guadeloupe with the Pullman Royal Key Wellness Resort in Le Moule, on the north-east coast of Grande-Terre. This contemporary resort, scheduled for completion by the end of 2026, will have 102 rooms, several bars and restaurants and a swimming pool, as well as areas dedicated to business events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Baghdad, Yerevan, Tashkent: M\u00f6venpick will also be offering new hotels around the world this year. In Europe, the brand is due to open in Palermo, as well as on the shores of the Bay of Kotor in Montenegro at the beginning of the year, and in Croatia around summer, on the Adriatic coast, with the M\u00f6venpick Hotel & Residences Kvarner Bay, featuring 199 rooms, 304 residences and a 2,600 m\u00b2 MICE area. At the same time, another Swiss-style brand, Swiss\u00f4tel, will be making its debut in the Czech Republic, at Marianske Lazne, with a 130-room hotel which, from the start of the year, will bring together five historic buildings in the heart of one of Europe's most prestigious spa towns, also known as Marienbad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For its part, Mercure will be offering a new hotel in France, in Vallon Pont d'Arc, but its development is mainly focused on international markets, in Europe with two projects in Romania, in Bucharest and Oradea, but above all in Asia-Pacific. Openings are expected in Jakarta and Manila, as well as in Hiroshima, close to the Japanese city's business district, and, for the Grand Mercure version, near Amritsar airport in India. In early 2026, the brand will also add an address in Australia, the Mercure Melbourne La Trobe Street, then in Bangkok in the middle of the year, the Mercure Bangkok Ratchathaewi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Novotel and Ibis Styles in concert in Hamburg<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Another major brand known to business travellers, Novotel will be offering new hotels in Jakarta, as well as in Bhopal at the beginning of the year, in the heart of the Indian city's \"intelligent district\". In Europe, Novotel will be joining forces with the budget and design brand Ibis Styles to open a combo hotel in Hamburg, in the \u00dcberseequartier, with the Novotel & ibis Styles Hamburg HafenCity, scheduled for completion by the end of 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ibis Styles will take the opportunity to add another hotel in Germany next year, at Munich airport, in addition to another airport hotel in Uzbekistan, in Tashkent, and its debut in the Democratic Republic of Congo, in Kinshasa. The Accor group's network of budget hotels will also be enhanced by several new Ibis hotels in Brazil, in Aragua\u00edna, Caruaru, Mogui Guacu and Pelotas, as well as in Thailand, with the ibis Bangkok Ratchathaewi.
