\"What's clear, is clear\". The ADP Group has clearly adopted the same approach in its quest to simplify the passenger journey. Above all, its managers have listened to international travellers who sometimes point to a lack of clarity: \"today, many passengers, particularly international and connecting passengers, report difficulties in finding their way around the airport in the various customer evaluations\". As a result, by 2027 - in March to be precise - all the terminals at Paris CDG (with the exception of Terminal 1) will have their names changed. The timing is no coincidence: the introduction of these new names will coincide with the entry into service of the CDG Express.<\/p>\n\n\n

Des chiffres et des lettres: the end of the story<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In concrete terms, the ADP Group is promising \"a shock of simplification\" by abolishing, in its own words, \".\u00a0numbers and letters like T2EM (Terminal 2E hall M) all along the route<\/em>\u00a0\". Once the makeover is complete, the terminals at Paris CDG will bear only one number, with a numbering system that will follow the route taken by passengers arriving by road and RER. From now on, Terminal 1 will keep its name, then each terminal will be given a number in ascending order, from terminal 1 to terminal 7. As for the boarding lounges, they will be identified by letters, once they have passed through the controls. Finally, the terminal car park will be given the same number as the terminal itself. According to ADP management, Paris CDG will thus be in line with the international standards in force at other major hubs.<\/p>\n\n\n

A collective project for an XXL makeover<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On the scale of an airport such as Paris CDG, this makeover represents a major challenge for the ADP Group. The new system will affect some 3,000 signs in the terminals - and 600 in the car parks - as well as 250 road signs. The same applies to the \"technical\" side of things, with 10,000 video-surveillance cameras affected, and hundreds of IT applications that will have to be reconfigured. The ADP Group promises \"\u00a0a collective project, which will fully involve the airport's 900 companies and 90,000 employees over the coming months<\/em>\u00a0\". And the Group's management warns: \"\u00a0This is the starting point for a complete transformation of the passenger journey over the next few years, with a series of investments that will be supported by our proposed Economic Regulation Contract.<\/em>\" .
