The American airline has relied on AI to transform the passenger journey through the airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the new features unveiled in December, Virtual Gate provides passengers with real-time updates on groups currently boarding, and a progress bar showing the number of passengers who have boarded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/american-airlines-modernises-mobile-app\/\" data-id=\"198125\">The American Airlines app gets a makeover<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/united-airlines.jpg\" alt=\"United Airlines\" class=\"wp-image-213779\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/united-airlines.jpg 650w, https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/united-airlines-300x200-derived.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/united-airlines-18x12-derived.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>84 % of United customers use the application on the day of their flight<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/delta-united-seats-usa\/\" data-id=\"205779\">\"Window... or no window? That's the question for Delta Air Lines and United<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>Another new feature is the \"closest and best\" function, which recommends nearby United Club lounges to travellers, based on the proximity of boarding gates and available space - an option currently reserved for Chicago O'Hare airport, but which is set to gain ground in 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/airline-cybersecurity\/\">The app <\/a>United now also includes personalised advice for passengers travelling with wheelchairs, as well as information on travel documents required, biometric boarding options, destination weather and local carpooling options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, United has also focused on baggage tracking, now displayed like the parcel delivery tools for real-time tracking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-quote\"><blockquote><p>The United app provides travellers with personalised real-time updates throughout their
