The IHG group is expecting an InterContinental near the Taipei Dome in the first quarter, while Hyatt is planning to open the Hyatt Centric East Taipei in the second quarter, followed by a luxury Park Hyatt at the end of the year.

Still on the island of Taiwan, its lifestyle brand Andaz is also on standby in Taichung, the country's second largest city. As for the city of Tainan, it will be the first in the Asia-Pacific region to feature the Signia by Hilton brand, with a hotel in line with the brand's focus on large MICE hotels. Expected to open in the third quarter, the Signia by Hilton Tainan will feature 344 rooms, almost 2,000 m² of meeting and event space and a VIP lounge, as well as a swimming pool and a number of bars and restaurants.

Thailand

Hilton Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Golf Resort & Spa

As usual, Bangkok will have a busy year of openings. The most recent, that of a fourth Hilton in the Thai capital, adds a new venue of choice for meetings and events, both because of its MICE space - 1,200 m² and including two ballrooms - and because of its location, close to Suvarnabhumi International Airport and on the edge of a golf course. The result of the takeover of a former Méridien, the Hilton Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Golf Resort & Spa also offers everything you need for moments of relaxation, with an outdoor swimming pool and numerous bars and restaurants.

In another development, the capital has seen the return to business of one of its iconic establishments, opened more than a tenth of a century ago and recently renamed the Radisson Hotel Chateau Bangkok. Located in the Ploen Chit district, this renovated hotel offers 178 rooms, three restaurants, including the French-Thai fusion restaurant Château Botanique, as well as a poolside bar. Business travellers will find two meeting rooms and an event space, the Crystal Lotus Hall, which can accommodate 250 guests.

But the most prestigious inauguration is due to take place at the very end of the year with The Langham, Custom House, an establishment that revisits a historic building dating back to 1888. Built in accordance with the wishes of King Rama V and designed by architect Joachim Grassi in a neo-Palladian style, this prestigious public building will be restored to its former glory after years of neglect, with the project also incorporating a former post office and a contemporary structure. Lying on the banks of the Chao Phraya River in the Bang Rak district, the project will create a 75-room luxury hotel, complete with a spa, a bar and a version of the Cantonese restaurant T'ang Court, which won three Michelin stars at Hong Kong's Langham restaurant, as well as function rooms overlooking the river.

The Langham Custom House Bangkok

While the Thai capital has been home to a lifestyle hotel from the Hyatt group, the Andaz One Bangkok, since the end of December, other establishments are on the 2026 agenda for the leaders in the hotel industry, such as the Canopy by Hilton Bangkok Sukhumvit, expected in the autumn. As for Accor, the French group will be adding two new addresses for its Ibis and Mercure brands, both close to the Ratchathewi BTS metro station, and, in a more luxurious niche, the Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit.

Vietnam

Fairmont Hanoi

In addition to its debut in Bangkok in the middle of the year, the Fairmont brand is also expected in Hanoi in February, with an urban resort that will offer 241 rooms, eight bars and restaurants - including one on the rooftop - and two swimming pools, as well as three ballrooms and other spaces for meetings and events. Located in the old French quarter, the establishment will complete Accor's luxury offering in the Vietnamese capital, alongside the historic Sofitel Legend Métropole.

These two establishments will soon have to face a new competitor, the Four Seasons Hanoi at Hoan Kiem Lake.
