Passenger numbers increased by only 0.7% last month, reaching 7.4 million passengers. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/adp-aeroports-paris-avenir\/\">ADP<\/a> This is explained by a Ramadan effect affecting demand since mid-February.<\/p>\n<p>Over the first two months of the year, the total number of passengers in Paris reached 15.25 million, an increase of 2.1%. This figure is notably supported by the activity of Orly airport. The latter saw its passenger traffic increase by 6.9%over the first two months, nearing 5 million travellers. In February, the number of passengers increased again by 3.8%.<\/p>\n<p>However, the outlook is darkening at Roissy Charles de Gaulle. Traffic fell by 0.8% in February and remained sluggish in the first two months with 10.34 million passengers.<\/p>\n<p>When looking at January and February combined, a very strong increase is observed in the Middle East at +10.5%, followed by Asia-Pacific at +4.7%; the Schengen Area and Latin America each progress at +2.6%, while North America experiences growth of +2.1%. Decreases are noted in Africa (-1.7%and even -8.2%in February) and in the \"Other Europe\" segment (-1.3 %).<\/p>\n<h2>The expected effect of the Gulf War<\/h2>\n<p>The ADP Group warns that the war in the Persian Gulf will not be without impact on traffic, with a sharp drop in passenger flows to this region. The Group explains that traffic from March 2026 onwards is expected to be affected by changes to flight schedules with the region, the closure or restriction of access to certain airspace, as well as by the situation at certain Group platforms.<\/p>\n<p>For your records, in 2025, traffic between Paris airports and the Middle East amounted to 5.7 million passengers, representing 5%of traffic in Paris. For TAV Airports (airports in Turkey, Georgia, the Balkans, and Tunisia), this traffic represented 7.9 million passengers, or 7 % of passenger traffic. Regarding GMR Airports (India), for the airports in Delhi and Hyderabad, traffic to the Middle East represented approximately 8 % and 11 % of passenger traffic respectively.
