How is the events industry doing in Bordeaux?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Am\u00e9lie Dech\u00e9nais \u2013 <\/strong>The destination has experienced continuous growth since the pandemic. Between 2024 and 2025, we are observing a degree of stabilisation, but at particularly high levels with predominantly national trade shows, as well as scientific and professional congresses of international scope. This dynamic is directly linked to the rise in accommodation capacity. The opening of the Palais 2 l\u2019Atlantique now allows for congresses of up to six thousand people in plenary sessions, which represents a significant leap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Have new event venues also been added to Bordeaux's offerings?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A. D. -<\/strong> Since this flagship venue opened, numerous intermediate-sized spaces capable of hosting between 200 and 400 people have also emerged. On the Right Bank, Le Bien Public, which belongs to the same group as La Bellevilloise in Paris (Editor's note: Cultplace), has also opened its doors and offers a concert hall, an auditorium and a privatizable restaurant. This makes it a versatile venue, suitable for gala dinners as well as corporate events. Ultimately, the overall capacity of the destination has increased at all levels, and this expansion is nearing completion. Indeed, we have no other large-scale facilities scheduled to open, which is a good thing: the offering is now coherent and complete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Especially as the hotel industry has also followed suit.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A. D. -<\/strong> Indeed, the arrival of many new rooms has considerably expanded the hotel offering. New brands have thus arrived, such as Renaissance, Hilton Garden Inn, or Hampton at M\u00e9rignac Airport. In addition to the Full renovation<\/a> from Burdigala and the opening of another five-star hotel, Hotel 56 (Editor's note: which will soon become under the Accor Handwritten Collection brand<\/a>), or even the expansion of the Eklo hotel. Among upcoming projects, a new five-star lifestyle hotel is under construction in Place Gambetta, in a building that once housed a Virgin Megastore. The brand has not yet been officially revealed (Editor's note: the fact that its owner is also that of the InterContinental could argue for a brand from the IHG group), but this establishment of around a hundred rooms should open in 2027 and will have a rooftop. A first for this neighbourhood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
