A breathtaking view: this is one of the key promises of many hotels around the world. The one offered by this new Hyatt Regency in Canada stands out in this regard, opening onto the exceptional panorama of Niagara Falls. The American group's primarily business-oriented brand is indeed taking full advantage of the unique location of a hotel that previously bore the Hilton Embassy Suites brand, situated on the Canadian side, in the Fallsview district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Housed within a 42-storey building, the hotel offers 611 re-designed and modernised rooms and suites, all generously sized and naturally offering a view. A memorable setting also for corporate events, the Hyatt Regency Niagara Falls Fallsview boasts over 1,850 m\u00b2 of meeting and banquet space for this purpose, in addition to an indoor swimming pool for well-being and a steakhouse for dining.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Still on the other side of the Atlantic, the American group will also make a significant change to an establishment in Austin \u2013 the current South Congress Hotel. It's named not because of any possible link to the Texas capital's convention centre, but for its location on the thoroughfare whose name, like in many other cities across the United States, evokes the American parliament. Located in the lively SoCo district, with its vintage boutiques, art galleries, and trendy restaurants, the South Congress Hotel had the necessary lifestyle fundamentals to welcome The Standard brand, already possessing a rooftop pool, three restaurants and two bars, in addition to six meeting and event spaces, one of them in its inner courtyard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This hotel, currently offering 83 rooms, will close its doors in the summer for renovations and is expected to welcome its first guests in spring 2027 under the name The Standard Austin, marking the brand's first opening in the United States in over a decade. In parallel, after Brussels last year, the upscale and lifestyle brand acquired by the Hyatt Group in 2024<\/a> should see the culmination this year of projects in Mexico City and Lisbon, with a hotel revisiting the former Portuguese naval hospital in the Alfama district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hyatt triples its presence in Portugal<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Before this opening, expected at the end of the year, the American group has already strengthened its presence in Portugal, particularly in the capital, with the opening in mid-March of another high-end, lifestyle hotel, the Andaz Lisbon. Located in the Baixa district of Lisbon, with views of the Tagus and Pra\u00e7a do Com\u00e9rcio, the establishment offers 170 contemporary rooms and suites and attractive restaurants, including the Luzzi restaurant on the rooftop, and the Andaz Lounge in the heart of the hotel, which serves revisited Portuguese classics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the Andaz Lisbon does not have a MICE offering, the same cannot be said for another hotel that appeared earlier this year in the group's portfolio; the Hyatt Regency Vilamoura Algarve. The result of the renovation of the Dom Pedro Vilamoura hotel, this establishment indeed offers nearly 1000 m\u00b2 of modular spaces across six meeting and conference rooms, and a banqueting hall that can accommodate up to 300 people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
