The American carrier has turned to another giant \u2013 at least, for now, in the field of online sales \u2013 by partnering with Amazon Leo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The agreement, formalised on March 31st, provides for an initial installation on 500 aircraft from 2028, and a \"long-term collaboration to unlock the next generation of technology-enabled travel experiences\". Furthermore, the two partners announce: \"Building on existing work between Delta and AWS, Delta and Amazon plan to partner on integrating AWS, Amazon Leo, other Amazon technologies, and AI to enhance the customer experience throughout the journey.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This agreement comes just three years after Delta launched its Wi-Fi offering on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/these-five-innovative-intelligent-products\/\">CES Las Vegas<\/a>, connectivity offered free to SkyMiles members by T-Mobile. Since then, more than 163 million Delta SkyMiles members have connected to Delta Sync Wi-Fi, with more than 1,150 devices equipped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/delta-air-lines-innovations\/\" data-id=\"189207\">Delta Air Lines in the innovation race at CES in Las Vegas<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-quote\"><blockquote><p>the fastest and most cost-effective technology available to better connect the world today<\/p><cite>Ed Bastian, Chief Executive of Delta<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>\" <em>Delta's future is global<\/em> \u00bb, highlights Ed Bastian, CEO of Delta. \u00ab <em>This agreement gives us access to the fastest and most cost-effective technology available to better connect the world today, and it deepens our collaboration with a global leader that shares our ambition to build what comes next \u2014 forging even stronger human connections for our teams and our customers for years to come.<\/em> \"he continues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">It should be noted that while Delta is a pioneer in opting for Amazon Leo, it is not the first to align itself with this technology. Just a year ago, JetBlue formalised a similar move by aligning itself with Project Kuiper, the former name of this technology. The new name Leo is in fact an acronym for \"Low Earth Orbit\", a positioning that relies in particular \u2013 and proudly so \u2013 on the Ariane launcher, from Kourou in French Guiana. And this time, it's an information giant that is concerned. Since the beginning of April, the airline has been offering SkyMiles members 24-hour free access to The New York Times. This access remains valid after landing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Access to the American media is currently only available on the traveller's personal device, via Delta Sync Wi-Fi. However, it will soon be integrated into the in-seat inflight entertainment (IFE) system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-quote\"><blockquote><p><em>Delta connects the world, and The New York Times helps its readers understand it<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>\" <em>Travelling is much more than going from point A to point B \u2013 it\u2019s an adventure<\/em> \u00bb, Julieta McCurry testifies.
