The co-working space specialist has just unveiled a solution designed directly for travelling professionals. Namely, office pods that will be deployed by WeWork in \" where productivity often clashes with noise and distractions<\/em> , i.e. airports, conference centres or hotel lobbies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\" The working day doesn't start or end at a desk. It happens in a busy terminal, between flights; when you need to organise a client meeting on the sidelines of a conference with a thousand people; or even when you're on the move and have to make a call in a noisy hotel lobby. <\/em>\u00bb, said John Santora, Chief Executive Officer of WeWork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Designed in-house and constructed from a polished black polycarbonate shell surrounded by panels that allow in daylight, these pods also rest on dense exterior materials \u2013 eco-friendly as they should be \u2013 and soft interior surfaces to block out surrounding noise. Inside, there's a wood laminate desk, ergonomic seating, high-speed WiFi, and optional screens.<\/p>\n\n\n

Three models with solo cabins, intended for individual work, a format that can accommodate up to four people, plus a pod accessible to people with disabilities. With WeWork Go, we're bringing the quality, privacy, and experience of a WeWork office to where people need it most, exactly when they need it.<\/em> \", added John Santora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CEOs and decision-makers gathered at the annual Semafor World Economy Congress in Washington were given an exclusive first look at the WeWork Go offering, with an international rollout expected soon. For travellers, booking a booth will be very simple, with flexible pricing depending on the location and duration of the session. Simultaneously, regular users of WeWork spaces should see this offering included in their subscriptions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New, but not so new <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If this offer is presented as \" brand new<\/em> this is not new for WeWork and its clients, as many airports, convention centres and hotels around the world offer privacy booths here and there. Some manufacturers have made it their speciality, such as Framery, Hushoffice or Jabbrrbox.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This American provider is, furthermore, rolling out a whole range of workspaces worldwide, in partnership with WeWork's major competitor: IWG, the global leader in the sector. As part of this agreement, Jabbrrbox and IWG \u2013 which has acquired a stake in its capital \u2013 are preparing to install 3,750 units worldwide over the next three years. Whether they are individual Jabbrrbox 4U pods or the Jabbrrbox 4ALL, for four people and accessible to wheelchairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
