This lounge now covers 630 m\u00b2.<sup>2<\/sup> after gaining 20 square metres to offer 4 additional% seats, for a total of 160 seats. Above all, this rearrangement is intended to better manage the flow within this lounge, which is one of the busiest in French stations with 400,000 travellers in 2025, leading to saturation during peak hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/sncf-salon-grand-voyageur-paris-gare-lyon\/\" data-id=\"215101\">The SNCF is (still) going to expand the Grand Voyageur lounge at Paris Gare de Lyon<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>The ground-floor space is therefore now dedicated to travellers making a brief stop, which the SNCF estimates at around fifteen minutes, before their train departs. Around high tables, they will find the usual services such as a hot\/cold drinks vending machine, newspapers and magazines for perusal (also in digital format), etc.<\/p>\n<p>The first floor is reserved for passengers making a longer journey, offering them a calm and suitable environment for relaxation or work. They have access to Wi-Fi described as \"ultra-high-performance\", power and USB sockets to recharge their electronic devices, access to the railway company's press and entertainment portal, and a vending machine for hot and cold drinks. Five individual phone booths have also been installed for private calls.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"434\" src=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/salon-grand-voyageur.jpg\" alt=\"SNCF\" class=\"wp-image-222141\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/salon-grand-voyageur.jpg 650w, https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/salon-grand-voyageur-300x200-derived.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/salon-grand-voyageur-18x12-derived.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-l-empreinte-environnementale-comme-fil-conducteur-des-amenagements-realises-nbsp\">The environmental footprint as a guiding principle for the development carried out&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The renovation and expansion of this Grand Voyageur lounge, at the expense of the adjacent retail space, have made it possible to restore and showcase certain heritage elements of the station, such as its historic woodwork. The layout was then designed in accordance with current ecological standards through the use of sustainable and recyclable materials, and by enabling reduced energy consumption. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the user side, travellers have at their disposal \"&nbsp;<em>A selection of organic and fair trade hot drinks, with the option to use your own mug at the coffee machine.<\/em>&nbsp;\u00bb and recycling bins for waste. SNCF also highlights \u00ab&nbsp;<em>reducing paper by offering on-site newspaper and digital press access<\/em>&nbsp;\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-highlight-box\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-la-sncf-renove-et-rebaptise-ses-salons\">SNCF is renovating and renaming its lounges<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The SNCF is committed to the continuous improvement of its 11 lounges located in the main stations to satisfy its business clientele and address the issue of saturation during peak hours. Following the relocation of the lounge at Lyon Part-Dieu station in 2025, closer to the departure platforms, the SNCF has undertaken the refurbishment of the one at Paris Est, which now has 53 seats, and the duplex lounge at Gare de Lyon. Those at Paris-Nord (operated in partnership with Regus) and Paris Montparnasse will follow, also with the aim of increasing capacity.<\/p>\n<p>SNCF Voyageurs has also decided to rename them all Grand Voyageur Le Club TGV Inoui in order to better regulate access.
