This is usually a normal measure with the start of summer, with leisure demand weakening as temperatures rise in Europe. Nevertheless, this year, the reduction is proving more drastic for the Moroccan company, due to soaring oil prices. France-Morocco routes are thus particularly affected.<\/p>\n
Most routes connecting French regions to Marrakech are disappearing. This is the case for routes to Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes and Toulouse, which will disappear from timetables between early July and mid-September. These routes are generally served by two flights per week. Brussels-Marrakech is also affected by the measure.\u00a0<\/p>\n
From Casablanca, Royal Air Maroc is reducing its frequencies from three to two weekly flights to Montpellier between 24 June and 24 October. It should also be noted that the Casablanca-Zurich route is going from three to two weekly frequencies from 15 July. Finally, Tangier will see its number of flights reduced to Spain, notably to Barcelona and Malaga.\u00a0<\/p>\n
These routes should return to Royal Air Maroc's schedule from October.\u00a0<\/p>\n
This reduction in frequencies and routes to Europe corresponds, on the other hand, to an increase in the number of flights from Casablanca to Africa. In June, Royal Air Maroc will increase the average number of weekly flights to Abuja, Accra, Bamako, Cotonou, Douala, Lagos, Libreville, Lom\u00e9 and Ouagadougou by one to two.\u00a0<\/p>\n
