Following the connection of the tracks and the remote control centre last weekend, the company has just unveiled the fares that will apply to passengers travelling between Gare de l\u2019Est and Roissy-CDG Airport from 28 March 2027. A full-price single ticket will cost \u20ac25, which is almost double the \u20ac14 price of a ticket on the RER B. However, a 15% discount will be applied to those purchasing a return ticket. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Holders of a Navigo Pass will, for their part, benefit from a 35% discount, bringing the price of a single journey down to \u20ac16.50. To attract families and stand out from the RER B, the journey will be free for children under 16 accompanied by an adult. Finally, people working in the airport area will be able to take out a season ticket to use this new line, which will save them valuable time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ticket sales will be available via the CDG Express website and app, SNCF Connect, as well as at ticket machines and counters located at Paris-Est and Terminal 2 of Roissy Airport. The operator, Hello Paris Services (HPS), aims to achieve an annual passenger traffic of 6 to 8 million passengers in the long term, with nearly a quarter of them being business travellers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-un-trajet-en-20-mn-propose-tous-les-quarts-d-heure\">A 20-minute journey offered every quarter of an hour.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As a reminder, the CDG Express trains will complete the journey in 20 minutes thanks to their speed, which will be able to reach 150 km\/h. Departures will be guaranteed every 15 minutes between 5 a.m. and midnight. Coming from the Alsatian workshops of CAF France, the trains have 420 seats, including 12 Premium seats in a more comfortable and exclusive space that should appeal to some business travellers as well as high-end customers. To guarantee the regularity of service, CDG Express will operate 10 train sets daily, with a replacement train set stationed at Paris Est in case of breakdown, and two others undergoing permanent maintenance on a rolling basis. The trains will have dedicated platforms in the SNCF station of Roissy-CDG Terminal 2 and at Gare de l\u2019Est, on platforms 2, 3 and 4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-des-trains-ultra-confortables-pour-se-demarquer-du-rer\">Ultra-comfortable trains to stand out from the RER<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In terms of services, the trains will first be equipped with a toilet, but more importantly, they will be air-conditioned to make the journey more pleasant in summer and during heatwaves like the current one. Screens will display journey information such as the remaining travel time and arrival time, while audio announcements will be broadcast in several languages. <em>A bilingual French-English onboard supervisor will be present on each train to assist passengers and help them if needed. <\/em>\", she adds. Wi-Fi will be available in each carriage. Although the journey is fast, the seats have been specially designed to provide comfort and services for travellers, being reclining and equipped with a table, an electrical socket, as well as USB-C and USB-A ports. Safety has not been overlooked via\" <em>a video surveillance system, alarm systems integrated into the doors and geo-locatable emergency calls for the driver<\/em> \"says the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-un-projet-qui-se-veut-aussi-ecologique\">A project that aims to be ecological<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Initially planned for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the \u20ac2.6 billion CDG Express project has experienced significant delays due to the scale of the works being carried out at Gare de l'Est and Paris-CDG. This includes the new line created north of the capital, as well as the installation of a new railway bridge at Porte de la Chapelle, not to mention the development of a pedestrian link with Gare du Nord to facilitate train connections (TGV Inoui, Eurostar, TER, etc.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\" <em>The aim is to provide Paris with a new direct airport shuttle, similar to other international capitals.<\/em> \u201d, emphasised Baptiste Maurand, the chairman of HPS. SNCF R\u00e9seau, a project partner alongside A\u00e9roports de Paris and the Banque des Territoires, also highlights the environmental benefits of this link, which is expected to reduce road traffic on the A1 by 15%.
