Air Austral has just unveiled its MyCapricorne 2.0 loyalty programme. Launched on 1 July, it offers a simpler and more lucrative system for its users. The new rules also apply to flights by the regional subsidiary Ewa Air, in Mayotte.<\/p>\n

From now on, every euro spent will generate points, going far beyond just the purchase of the flight ticket. Spending on ancillary services \u2013 baggage, seat selection, onboard meals or upgrades \u2013 will also be taken into account, allowing members to accumulate points more quickly and access rewards. The scale starts at 10 points per euro for the \"Essential\" entry level.<\/p>\n

Another important change is the introduction of the \"Cash + Points\" system, which offers greater flexibility during bookings. Members can pay for their tickets or additional services by combining traditional payment methods with loyalty points, or use only their points when possible. This development aims to make it easier to utilise accumulated benefits.<\/p>\n

Third size transformation: points will now be valid indefinitely, provided that at least one flight is taken. Air Austral<\/a> every 24 months. The company is thus responding to a recurring customer demand while encouraging a long-term relationship with its passengers.<\/p>\n

Benefits from the moment you join the programme<\/h2>\n

The calculation of statuses is also being reviewed to improve transparency. Every euro spent corresponds to a Status point, counted over a rolling twelve-month period. Air Austral is introducing a new intermediate tier, \u00c9vasion. Accessible from 2,500 points, this status allows travellers to benefit from an additional free piece of luggage and free standard seat selection.<\/p>\n

The Exclusive status is also evolving. It also benefits from improvements, with the free choice of all seat types and access to Fast Track at partner airports, regardless of the type of ticket booked.<\/p>\n

For Isabelle Birem, Air Austral's Executive Director of Customer Experience, this overhaul represents one of the major strategic projects undertaken by the airline in recent years. After eighteen months of development, the aim is to offer a simpler, more attractive programme that is more focused on the value created for the customer. According to her, MyCapricorne is gaining in effectiveness and visibility since every euro spent is now rewarded. The points are easier to use and the programme is becoming a real loyalty driver.<\/p>\n

To support this launch, Air Austral is rolling out a primarily digital communication campaign. This highlights the new benefits of the programme, with a particular focus on one of the advantages offered upon joining: 9 kg of extra baggage allowance on each flight, an argument that should also appeal to regular business customers.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
