The feedback received has allowed us to refine the features before making them available to the general public. The transformations made to the application now make it a true travel assistant for passengers.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Promote passenger autonomy<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Fully redesigned, the app aims to be faster, more intuitive, and more focused on passenger autonomy. It brings together all the essential travel functions into a single interface. This interface now includes booking, check-in, ticket modifications, and permanent access to the boarding pass, even without an internet connection, thanks to its saving to Apple or Android wallets.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">For travellers departing from London Heathrow and Gatwick airports, the app provides real-time operational information, personalised notifications before and during the journey, and a dedicated departure day screen displaying the most relevant information for each stage of the trip.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Passengers also benefit from new self-service features allowing them to modify their booking directly from their smartphone, scan their passport to limit document checks, securely manage their profile using biometric technologies and, at Heathrow Terminal 5, access interactive terminal maps. A welcome plus for business travellers and premium passengers too: the app also shows the occupancy percentage of the airline's lounges.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Loyalty featured<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Members of the loyalty programme can also use the 2.0 mobile app to check their Avios balance, their Tier Points, or track their status progression. Members also get access to their latest statements and can also amend their personal details, view their discount vouchers, and save their passport details for future journeys. It is also possible to manage registered travel companions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">British Airways is also working on several other features related to its loyalty programme. The app will notably offer the ability to use Avios and vouchers directly to book flights. In the longer term, new self-service options and real-time baggage tracking will be available.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">According to Colm Lacy, British Airways' Chief Commercial Officer, this new platform forms the foundation for a continuous evolution of the airline's digital experience. Future improvements will be developed based on customer feedback and are part of a strategy to enhance the fluidity of the customer experience.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">So, British Airways is continuing its investments in many areas such as the deployment of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/starlink-british-airways-pole-position\/\">wifi Starlink<\/a> free high-speed Wi-Fi, the renovation of its lounges, and the opening of new lounges in Miami and Dubai.\u00a0<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>British Airways launched its next-generation mobile
