Enquiring about a route, comparing a price, and then ordering a ride: these steps, previously scattered across multiple apps, can now all be done within a single conversation with ChatGPT. Bolt <\/strong>has just integrated its VTC and taxi services, a first in Europe for a shared mobility platform, rolled out simultaneously across all its markets rather than country by country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In concrete terms, the user interacts with ChatGPT to obtain a price estimate, compare several routes and find out the driver's estimated arrival time, with the assistant also suggesting the most relevant pick-up point. The booking itself then switches to the Bolt app, where it is finalised; payments will continue to be processed there for the time being, with Bolt planning to open this stage up to ChatGPT later in the year. The integration thus exposes Bolt's services to ChatGPT's claimed 900 million weekly users, an order of magnitude incomparable to the audience of a standalone ride-hailing app.<\/p>\n\n\n
