{"id":228379,"date":"2026-08-18T12:54:58","date_gmt":"2026-08-18T10:54:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/?p=228379"},"modified":"2026-09-02T10:16:52","modified_gmt":"2026-09-02T08:16:52","slug":"etihad-european-winter-schedule-2026-2027","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/etihad-programme-hiver-europe-2026-2027","title":{"rendered":"Etihad adjusts its winter schedule in Europe, with Brussels and Luxembourg taking centre stage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"isSelectedEnd wp-block-paragraph\">Etihad Airways has reassessed its capacity for Europe for the 2026-27 winter season, adjustments that are overall quite favourable to French-speaking Europe - with the exception of Geneva.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd wp-block-paragraph\">Brussels will thus benefit from a clear boost in capacity, with 11 weekly flights from 15 December 2026, compared with seven at present. The additional capacity will be provided by Airbus A321LR aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd wp-block-paragraph\">Another major development: Luxembourg will join the Etihad network from 21 October. The airline is planning four weekly rotations using an A321LR between Abu Dhabi and the Grand Duchy. The launch had already been announced, but the schedule and frequency have been adjusted compared with the initial forecasts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This route is particularly symbolic as it opens up Luxembourg to direct service to the Middle East, with the possibility of quick connections to Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Africa.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-paris-maintient-une-forte-capacite\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Paris maintains a strong capacity<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd wp-block-paragraph\">At Paris-Charles de Gaulle, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/interview-etihad-airways\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\">Etihad<\/a> will maintain a significant presence with 18 weekly flights during the winter. Nevertheless, as from 25 October, several aircraft changes are planned. The airline will stop operating the Airbus A380 on one of its flights, which will be replaced by a Boeing 787-9. This same type of aircraft will also replace the Airbus A321LR which operates four weekly rotations (flights EY035\/EY036). Seating capacity will therefore decrease slightly, reflecting the current state of demand.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, it is in Geneva that Etihad will cut its capacity most drastically. Between 25 October 2026 and 31 January 2027, the Abu Dhabi-based carrier will reduce its frequency from two to one daily flight. Nevertheless, this will be operated with a Boeing 787-9 offering more seats than the Airbus A321LR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-baisse-generale-vers-l-allemagne-et-la-suisse\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>General downward trend towards Germany and Switzerland<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd wp-block-paragraph\">Beyond the French-speaking markets, changes are also significant in the main continental European hubs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd wp-block-paragraph\">Amsterdam will benefit from 14 weekly flights compared with 11 frequencies from 25 October. On Germany, the airline is reducing its offer compared with its previous forecasts. To D\u00fcsseldorf and Munich, Etihad is dropping a second daily flight for the first, and a third daily flight for the second, where the second daily flight scheduled from 1 September has also been dropped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Frankfurt, Etihad is also rearranging its capacity. From 25 October, the airline will maintain a daily service with a 787-9 instead of two daily flights. However, from 1 December, the carrier will reopen a second daily rotation, operated with an A321LR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To Zurich, Etihad will reduce its service from three to two daily flights from 15 December. Both frequencies will be operated using A321LRs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the other hand, London Heathrow will benefit from a significant ramp-up. From 15 December, Etihad will offer four daily connections on the Airbus A380. The exclusive operation of this route with the superjumbo was initially only planned from the summer 2027 schedule, at the end of March.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the same time, the airline is cancelling the addition of four extra weekly flights in Dublin, thus remaining at its current level of 14 frequencies per week.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
