Alaska Airlines is continuing its international push from Seattle. The US carrier, which inaugurated three new European routes this year to London, Reykjavik and Rome, will do so again in 2027 with the launch of two new non-stop services, the first to Athens starting on 12 May, and the second to Paris-Charles de Gaulle starting on 25 May 2027.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, the service will be seasonal and operated five times a week until October 2027 aboard a Boeing 787-9. Flights will depart from Seattle at 17:25 and arrive in Paris at 12:25 the following day. On the return leg, departure from Paris is scheduled for 14:25, arriving in Seattle at 15:50.<\/p>\n

Paris is particularly strategic for Alaska Airlines<\/a>The company indicates that the French capital is among the most sought-after destinations on its website. The advantage for passengers will also be to put the offer of the oneworld alliance (Alaska) in direct competition with that of the Skyteam alliance (Air France and Delta Air Lines) for this non-stop flight between the American Pacific Northwest coast and Paris.<\/p>\n

Indeed, Alaska Airlines will not be arriving in unfamiliar territory. The Seattle-Paris route is already operated non-stop by Delta Air Lines and Air France<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Delta currently offers a daily flight <\/strong>between Seattle-Tacoma and Paris-CDG, using an Airbus A330-900neo. Air France, for its part, operates five flights a week<\/strong> using an Airbus A350-900. In winter, frequencies are reduced to four weekly flights for Delta and three for Air France.<\/p>\n

The arrival of Alaska will therefore bring the summer offering to 17 weekly flights<\/strong> between Seattle and Paris, compared with the 12 currently operated by the two existing airlines. Alaska alone will account for nearly 30% of the direct summer flights on this route.<\/p>\n

Paris at the heart of international expansion<\/strong><\/h2>\n

For business travellers, this new offer brings greater choice in terms of timetables and fares. Departing from Paris, the Alaska Airlines route will provide access to some 360 daily departures during peak periods and 110 non-stop destinations from its Seattle hub. The airline will notably highlight its daytime flight to Hawaii.<\/p>\n

In Paris, passengers arriving from Seattle will benefit from the network of connections provided by oneworld partners such as British Airways, Iberia, Oman Air, Qatar Airways and Royal Air Maroc to Europe, the Middle East and Africa.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The new connection is part of a much broader strategy. Alaska Airlines already serves Reykjavik, London, Rome, Seoul and Tokyo from Seattle. With Paris and Athens, its intercontinental network will reach seven destinations. The airline also plans to add at least five more intercontinental destinations by 2030.<\/p>\n

The Seattle-Athens route will also begin in May 2027, on 12 May, with three weekly flights until October. It will be the first non-stop service between Seattle and the Greek capital.\u00a0<\/p>\n
