MGallery is getting ready to make its grand debut in New York. Accor\u2019s luxury boutique hotel brand has cemented its presence in the city by announcing the upcoming addition of the Hotel Ink 48 to its collection, which will be progressively renovated to incorporate MGallery's design codes and join the brand's network by 2028.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Located in west Manhattan, in the Hell\u2019s Kitchen neighbourhood near Times Square and Hudson Yards, this hotel takes its name from the identity of the place, a former 1930s printing works specialising in theatre and cinema posters. Since 2009, the building has been home to a hotel, for a time operated under the Kimpton brand before regaining its independence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
MGallery is therefore going to continue writing its story, weaving a subliminal link with another of its hotels, the Ink in Amsterdam, which used to house the offices and printing press of the daily newspaper The Times<\/em>. As for the Ink 48, this property offers 222 rooms, including 17 suites and a penthouse suite, a ground-floor restaurant, the Hudson Local, and a rooftop bar, the Hudson VU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For business travellers, the hotel also offers over 550 m\u00b2 of meeting space with currently three rooms named after the world of typography \u2013 Courier, Garamond and Helvetica \u2013 which can accommodate 90 people in a theatre layout and 100 in a banquet layout for the latter two, and 56 people for the Courier room. Additionally, to enjoy views of Manhattan, the hotel also features a terrace that can host 100 guests for a cocktail reception.<\/p>\n\n\n\n While the MGallery brand had until now only been present in Seattle in the United States, this \u00ab\u00a0lighthouse hotel<\/em>\u00a0\u00bbwill play\u00ab\u00a0an important role in the development of brand awareness and will support the continuation of our expansion in the region <\/em>\u00bb, emphasised Maud Bailly, CEO of Sofitel Legend, Sofitel, MGallery & Emblems. A new showcase to appeal to a key market and expand its presence in other urban or leisure destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This announcement confirms the development momentum of the brand, which currently has more than 125 properties worldwide, as well as 50 projects in development. In particular, nine openings are scheduled between now and the end of 2026, with resorts notably expected in Mykonos and Samos in Greece as well as in the Maldives, while in France, MGallery has just inaugurated the Bel H\u00f4tel Ol\u00e9ron Thalasso & Spa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
