Despite the slowdown in growth recorded last December - occupancy rates fell in top-of-the-range (-0.6%), three-star (-1.5%) and two-star (-1.2%) establishments - the French hotel industry had a positive year in 2011, as shown by the annual review recently published by Deloitte. \"2011 will not go down as a record year, but the French hotel industry is still posting improved results\", summarises the study, which emphasises the generalisation of the trend, both geographically and across the different categories of establishment. The top-of-the-range hotel sector in particular is benefiting from this growth, with the best results: occupancy rate (+4% to 68.8%), average revenue per room let (+2.2%) and above all revenue per room (+9.6%) all improved significantly during 2011. Business travel is no stranger to these good results.
