The integration of MICE into a company's travel policy has become a major trend in travel management in recent years. Even so, many travel managers still have to familiarise themselves with a world that may well complement business travel, but is at once heterogeneous, complex and highly specific in terms of organisation and negotiation. \"MICE is a large family, with up to 17 segments, and there is no pretension on the part of travel managers to take the place of specialists in the field,\" pointed out Michel Dieleman, President of the AFTM, when presenting the document at the seventh edition of Univ'AirPlus.<\/p>\n

Defining the sector - a necessary step in a complex and heterogeneous market - identifying the internal players and suppliers, different management methods, synergies, testimonials, and finally advice on how to integrate the sector into a company's travel policy: this opus aims to provide a broad overview of the issue, without claiming to be exhaustive. \"The aim of this White Paper is not to train experts in events management, but to present Travel Mangers with a possible, or even probable, broadening of their field of intervention\" prefaces the 45-page document published this summer. The \"Travel management and MICE\" white paper also draws on the experience of a key player in the market, the ANA\u00e9, by setting out the point of view of the Association des agences de communication \u00e9v\u00e8nementielle. Proof, if proof were needed, that the successful integration of MICE will also and above all require dialogue between the various players involved, to enable the sharing of skills and ultimately the optimisation of corporate resources.\u00a0<\/p>\n
