The US hotel industry is heading for a period of stability, according to figures released by specialist consultancy STR. As a result, 2012 should end with a slight increase in occupancy (+2.1%), to 61.2%. The trend should be more marked in terms of rates, with STR forecasting an increase of 4.4%, resulting in an average nightly rate of 82 euros (106.15$). This increase should continue at the same rate next year (+4.6%), with an average price approaching 86 euros. The occupancy rate, meanwhile, is set to stagnate in 2013 (+0.3%), with supply (+0.9%) and demand (+1.2%) rising only slightly more sharply.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
