This is one of the key findings of the study just published by In Extenso (Deloitte) on the hotel residence market, which is continuing the growth that began in the late 1980s.<\/p>\n

Aimed primarily at business travellers, the serviced apartment sector is now well organised around a handful of groups. The five leading players alone (Adagio, Appart\u2019City, R\u00e9side Etudes\/Residhome, Park&Suites; and Citadines) account for more than half of the accommodation supply. The study also identifies the geographical areas where the serviced apartment market is growing most strongly: Nice (+19 units from 2011 to 2012), Cannes (+16%), Toulouse (+10%), Strasbourg (+10%) and the north of the \u00cele-de-France region (+6%). By contrast, supply has fallen by 5%d in the capital, where fluctuations in property values have led many residences to switch to other forms of operation, such as traditional lettings, student accommodation or the hotel sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
