There are destinations where openness to the world seems to be written into the DNA of the country and its people.  Singapore is one of them. Strategically located at the heart of the Asian network, the City-State has for many years been a major international hub, linked to more than 250 cities in some sixty countries. Changi airport is the hub of business travel in the Asia-Pacific region, with a market of more than 3.3 billion people within a seven-hour flight. This ultra-connectivity is coupled with a unique quality of service, made possible by infrastructures designed to welcome travellers from all over the world in optimum conditions (cinemas, swimming pools). So much so that a French expatriate made the following comment on the blog Singapore - Letters from a World City: <em>\"In Singapore, I leave early to make the most of the airport\".<\/em>&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/aiacerandamx_129078461_opt_0-2.jpg\" width=\"401\" height=\"305\"><\/p>\n<p>The construction of Terminal 5 will double the airport's capacity by 2020. It is therefore no coincidence that Changi Airport was awarded the Skytrax trophy for the best airport in the world in 2013 - for the fourth time in its history. Singapore Airlines was ranked 3rd among the world's best airlines, and first among Asian carriers. <br \/>The national airline serves Paris-CDG every day with an A380 - it was the first to use Airbus' star wide-body aircraft - featuring the most spacious seat on the market (86 cm) in Business class.
