There are some countries where gastronomy is a matter of national pride. In Singapore, people are passionate about good food, as evidenced by the many culinary blogs that flourish on the Web. Every year, the Singapore Food Festival celebrates the richness of Singaporean gastronomy, which has drawn on the cultural diversity of its population to forge an international reputation. So much so that it has attracted the world's top Michelin-starred chefs - Jo\u00ebl Robuchon, Daniel Boulud and Guy Savoy to name but a few - who have in turn come to enhance the aura of Asian cuisine. From large group meals organised in the restaurants of the major hotels to street food enjoyed in smaller groups in one of the many food courts, business travellers and large companies can play the flavour card. In addition to the Marina Bay Sands, which is home to some of the new gourmet restaurants, most of which have private rooms for corporate events, there is no shortage of top-of-the-range addresses. French cuisine with Mediterranean accents at Restaurant Andre, seafood specialities - including the inevitable 'chilli crab' - at Jumbo Sea Food, vertiginous dining from the SuperTree Dining at Gardens by the Bay or in the atypical setting of an abbey at White Rabbit: event organisers are spoilt for choice when it comes to concocting an unforgettable dinner. And don't forget to try your hand at street food, where you can sample the many local specialities (Chiken Rice, Bak kut teh, Rojak, etc.) in the food courts of Lau Pa Sat or Food Republic, or even in the more upmarket Straits Kitchen in the Hyatt hotel.<\/p>\n
