The launch of the Izipress service recently made official by Air Cara\u00efbes makes it the \"1st French airline to offer all its customers an entirely digital press service on board its flights\". It enables the carrier specialising in the Caribbean zone to assert its innovative positioning, while adapting to current constraints in the airline sector. Indeed, the lighter aircraft made possible by the dematerialisation of the press should make it possible to reduce annual fuel consumption by 58 tonnes, and improve Air Cara\u00efbes' overall carbon footprint by almost 80 tonnes of Co2.<\/p>\n

From the traveller's point of view, this innovation should simplify access to a wide range of press titles up to 48 hours before departure. Business travellers who are members of the Pr\u00e9f\u00e9rence loyalty programme will have access to a total of 21 titles - i.e. the entire Izipress catalogue - for Gold and Diamond status holders, compared with four titles per journey for Silver and Silver Plus members. There will be a minimum of two free downloads for all travellers. \"Even though we previously had a wide choice of magazines and newspapers, our customers were not always satisfied with the offer, especially at the end of boarding,\" admits Edmond Richard, Commercial Director Europe at Air Cara\u00efbes. \"From now on, Air Cara\u00efbes customers can be sure that they will be able to read their favourite titles on board and download their favourite magazines before they leave. Air Cara\u00efbes is taking its technological ambitions a step further by announcing the availability of an iPad mini for every passenger in Madras (Business) and Cara\u00efbes (Premium Economy) classes.<\/p>\n

Adaptive Channel, the company behind the technology behind the iZipress application, is successfully doing it again in the airline sector.
