The \"2014 Global Meetings Forecast\" report forecasts a stable or even slightly declining year worldwide. Spending on corporate meetings and events, like the number of participants, is expected to fall by around 1.8 1TP3Q in Europe. Despite the attractiveness of Paris, the second most popular meetings destination in Europe behind London, France will not be among the good performers next year: \"With the exception of France, the forecasts are better for 2014 in all European countries\", points out Michael Sch\u00fcller, Vice President Europe of American Express Meetings & Events, who nevertheless notes that \"while the challenges persist, we are seeing real signs of growth in certain markets such as the United Kingdom and Germany, where we are seeing optimism in all areas of MICE\". The most positive trends can be found on the other side of the Atlantic.
