The Spanish group will inaugurate its first American address, in the business destination par excellence: New York. On Friday 20 March, the leading Spanish hotel group made its American ambitions official, announcing the opening of Innside Manhattan in 2016. \"Establishing ourselves in New York City - and Manhattan in particular - has been a goal for a long time,\" says Gabriel Escarrer, CEO of Meli\u00e1. The hotel's 313 rooms will be incorporated into a new twenty-storey building in the NoMad (\"NOrth of MADison Square Park\") district, at West 27th Street to be precise. Other US business destinations are also on the agenda for Melia, which is already targeting Miami and Los Angeles for their \"Latin influence and cosmopolitan atmosphere [which] open up fantastic development opportunities for brands such as Meli\u00e1, Me by Meli\u00e1 and Innside by Meli\u00e1\", according to Gabriel Escarrer.\u00a0<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Melia is
